I reach out to Caroline to discuss the possibility of designing a bag together. She's in! I'm thrilled. Nothing better than creatives supporting creatives.

After exploring a few concepts, we decide on an east-west, 90s inspired, architectural shape with thin rolled straps. Caroline makes the first iteration!

Decisions, decisions, decisions. We play around with the proportions and silhouette. A slim shape and long straps that allow the bag to sit comfortably under your arm were important to us, there's nothing worse than stuffing a bulky pillow under your arm or a bag that can only be handheld!

Exploring more possibilities. I am loving the cream with contrasting caramel trim, definitely shelving that for the future!

We finalize our design. The flap can be worn over the top of the bag for more security, or left open for a laid back look, softly rounded top edge with topstitch detail, finished with beautiful topstitching.

The first sample arrives and it's 90% of the way there! We are obsessed. So are you, based on the IG feedback!

We discuss a few minor changes and I send in the first round of edits.
